US seeks China trade moves on autos, financials, chips: source Trump's plan to impose U.S. tariffs on up to $60 billion of Chinese imports over alleged misappropriation of U.S. intellectual property roiled stock markets last week. But news that the two sides were talking prompted a recovery in U.S. shares, with all major indices up over 2 percent in afternoon trade.
